Tanya has a Master of Arts in Counseling from Crown college and a Master of Arts in Human services with an emphasis on forensic mental health from Concordia University. She has experience in providing therapy in a drug and alcohol treatment setting, as well as out patient therapy for a variety of conditions. She primarily works with clients 18 and up, preferably out of high school and her interests are as follows: Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment/life changes, Social skills, Coping skills, Interpersonal issues, Stress management, Self-esteem, Trauma, Individuals experiencing addiction and recovery including individuals experiencing both chemical and other addictions with experience guiding her patients who struggle with sex addiction. 

She will work with individuals who have been incarcerated or involved with the courts in various ways.

Tanya uses a variety of approaches that best serve her client’s needs. She approaches the therapeutic relationship through a client-centered lens, meeting them where they are to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space. Tanya focuses on a client-centered approach along with CBT, and skills from both acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT); and accelerated resolution therapy (A.R.T).
